Editor: This is a sketch by George Henry, titled "Caricature of a Man Pointing." The quick, light strokes give it a whimsical feel, don't you think? What strikes you most about this little drawing? Curator: It's funny you say that, because to me, it's a bit melancholic. Perhaps it's the man's posture, or the unfinished quality. It feels like a fleeting thought, caught on paper. Is he scolding someone? Or maybe offering directions with a sigh? It reminds me a bit of Daumier, but lighter somehow. Editor: Oh, I see what you mean. It's more ambiguous than I first thought. Thanks, I hadn't considered that. Curator: Art's like that, isn't it? Always shifting.
