Dadamaino made this field of marks, "L'inconscio razionale," and it's like she's charting something unknown with these tiny gestures. The limited palette of white on white makes the process of mark-making the main event. Up close, you can see how each dash and tick is carefully placed. There's a real physicality to it – the slight variations in pressure, the way the light catches the edges of the marks.
