The Forest Path 

Joseph Farquharson's ‘The Forest Path’ is an oil painting on canvas, a traditional material for fine art, yet here it captures a pastoral scene. Farquharson’s technique involved layering the oil paints to create the depths of the forest, and the textures of the foliage. The artist built up the image using brushes of different sizes.
