This black and white photograph, titled *Une galerie de vins, sur pointe*, offers a look into a wine cellar. The photo's strength lies in its textures and the way light plays within this subterranean space. The surface of the tunnel seems rough, almost organic, contrasting with the neat rows of wine bottles. Each bottle, identical to the next, creates a grid that recedes into the darkness, an infinite series of potential experiences. I'm drawn to the way the photographer captures the cool dampness of the cellar. Look how the light fixture hangs overhead, casting a soft glow, it’s almost like a minimalist sculpture suspended in time. This image reminds me of Bernd and Hilla Becher's photographs of industrial structures – stark, yet strangely beautiful. Both approaches show us that art doesn't always have to be about grand gestures, sometimes it's about finding beauty in the everyday, or in this case, the everybottle.
