Florin Maxa's "Hexagon with tail" is a real quiet one, made with some kind of paint, a geometric dance on canvas. There's something lovely about the way the color is pushed around, like he's coaxing the image into being rather than dictating it. You can almost feel him thinking as he's working, adjusting the form, adding and subtracting until it feels right. The slightly off-kilter geometry and the palette give it this kind of gentle, handmade vibe. Check out how the white lines create structure, almost like scaffolding, while the brown-reddish marks inside seem to push against it, creating a tension. It makes you think about the nature of systems, like how they can feel both supportive and restrictive. The little tail gives it a sense of movement, like the whole thing is about to float away. It reminds me a bit of Agnes Martin's quiet abstraction, where imperfection and slight shifts in form create something really beautiful. Art’s not about answers, but more like good questions that keep us wondering.
