Throughout art history, paths like this one have been employed as symbols of life’s journey. Think of Caspar David Friedrich's wanderers, each footstep a contemplation of destiny. Yet, unlike Friedrich’s dramatic figures against vast landscapes, here, the path is humble, integrated into a nurturing landscape. It’s not a path to the sublime, but perhaps to understanding.
