Editor: So, here we have William Forrest's "Villa Fountain". It's a print, and I find the scene so serene and full of classical references. What do you see in this piece? Curator: Ah, it breathes of Italy, doesn’t it? I imagine the heat shimmering off those stones, the women almost like nymphs. There’s a yearning for a lost, idealized past, wouldn't you agree? It's a stage set, really, isn't it, asking us to consider our own place in the spectacle of history. Editor: Absolutely. It does make you think about time and place. Thanks for sharing your vision! Curator: My pleasure! It's a pleasure to wander those imaginary villas with you.
