I’m immediately drawn to the way Gauley uses light, almost as if he’s trying to capture the very essence of a fleeting moment. It's like he’s painting the feeling of the place, not just the place itself. What do you think? Editor: Yes! I see that too. It's looser than I expected, almost abstract. Curator: Exactly!
