Editor: Here we have Conte Carlo Lasinio's "Mars," a print that really grabs you with its swirling energy. The reddish monochrome gives it a fiery, almost dreamlike quality. How do you interpret this classical scene? Curator: It's fascinating, isn’t it? The monochrome lends it a sense of antiquity, like a newly unearthed fresco. It makes me think about how artists have always reimagined classical myths, filtering them through their own eras and sensibilities. What strikes you most about Mars himself? Editor: I hadn't thought of it that way, more like I was thrown back in time. It is a more timeless presentation, and it makes sense to think of it that way now. Curator: Exactly. It’s as much about Lasinio’s world as it is about the Roman god of war. It makes one wonder what is lost, what is gained in his visual translation. Editor: That's something I'll definitely be pondering now!
