Editor: Here we have a silver tablespoon, part of a set of five, by Benjamin Watts. Looking at it, it feels both functional and somehow…ceremonial. What do you see in this humble utensil? Curator: It's a whisper from the past, isn't it? I imagine the hands that held it, the meals it served. Watts, poor chap, died young. Maybe each curve here carries a bit of fleeting life. What stories could it tell, if only spoons could speak? Editor: That's lovely, the idea of it holding stories. I hadn't thought of it that way. Curator: Think about the weight, the feel of the cold metal. These aren't just spoons, they're echoes. Editor: I will certainly look at spoons differently now.
