City of Charm 

Stanley Artgerm Lau created this image, City of Charm, using digital painting techniques in the 21st century. Lau’s work often blends elements of Western comic book art with Japanese manga. This piece reflects the artist's interest in the representation of women in contemporary pop culture. The artwork features a stylized female figure emerging from a vortex of urban architecture. The woman has a superhero-like quality. However, rather than simply presenting an idealized form, the figure's semi-transparent body reveals the structures of the city.
