Bernadette Resha created "Psychodelic Flowers," using a mix of colors and floral forms. Resha was born in 1989, at a time when there was much change in society. Her work resonates with the concept of identity which is not a fixed point, but rather a fluid space. The flowers inhabit different tonal and color areas, with some flowers appearing more vivid, while others blend softly into the background. The composition is divided into quadrants which are each dominated by a bold hue. These color blocks create spaces which the flowers both inhabit and transcend. The psychedelic and surreal aspects of Resha's work speak to our own negotiation with reality and the subjective lenses through which we perceive our surroundings. It encourages us to embrace change and self discovery.
