Editor: Here we have E. Gyger's photograph, "From the Elsighorn, Bernese Oberland." It's stark and imposing, almost monumental. What symbols do you see in it? Curator: The mountain, of course, is a universal symbol of challenge, aspiration. The stark contrast in light and shadow might represent the duality of nature, its beauty and its potential danger. Does it evoke a sense of power, of something beyond human control? Editor: Definitely, there's something timeless about it. Like a memory etched in stone. Curator: Precisely. And the blank sky? Perhaps a space for our own projections, our own fears and ambitions. It becomes a mirror. Editor: I never thought of it that way. Thanks!
