This collage, *Horloge,* was made by Salvador Dalí using an unusual mix of media. We've got spray paint, collage, and pen and ink. The combination is bizarre, like something you might find in a fever dream. Check out how Dalí's drippy use of spray paint sketches the outlines of a face. The face looms over a landscape with tiny figures, but instead of numbers, we have these little collaged circles filled with...well, who knows what? It’s as if time itself has been invaded by these bizarre, dreamlike images. Everything about this piece embraces uncertainty, from the rough application of the spray paint to the perplexing array of imagery. The clock hands are drawn with delicate lines, like dark, elegant tendrils reaching out to grasp something just beyond our understanding. It reminds me a little of Max Ernst’s collages, with their similarly unsettling juxtapositions. Ultimately, Dalí reminds us that art, like time, is something to be questioned. It's a conversation, one that’s still evolving.
