Curator: What a beautifully rendered landscape. This drawing, whose full name translates to "Forest Path, with a view of a farmstead on the left, in the foreground a seated woman with a basket and a man with a boy, in the midground a rider with a companion on foot", is by Johann Christoph Dietzsch and currently held in the Städel Museum's collection. It is realized in pen and ink, with some pastel and pencil touches, on paper. Editor: I'm immediately struck by its almost dreamlike quality.
