Curator: Peter Schmidt's print, "Flowing in the Right Direction," presents a fascinating visual language. What's your initial take? Editor: It feels almost like a diagram, but a strangely organic one. The stark lines and symmetrical composition give it structure, yet the forms themselves are so fluid and evocative. Curator: Indeed. The central figure, bisected, with energy emanating from both head and hands speaks to a channeling of cosmic power. Note the arch, referencing an opening to the heavens, punctuated with stars. Editor: And the hands repeating above and below feel like visual echoes, grounding the ethereal energy in a physical form. There is an interesting tension between the precise lines and the amorphous shapes. Curator: Perhaps a visual metaphor for the tension between the rational and the intuitive. It’s compelling how Schmidt uses recurring symbols to evoke a sense of interconnectedness. Editor: Yes, the piece seems to be about connection, and perhaps, the potential for transformation. The artist creates an interesting visual experience. Curator: I agree, and that resonance is what makes it stay with you. Editor: It's definitely left me with something to consider.
