Jack Armstrong made "Future Magic #1" using paint, at some point, sometime. Look at those drips and splatters of red, yellow, and purple! The painting seems to have come into being through intuition and maybe even some happy accidents. I can imagine Armstrong working on this, maybe listening to some music, totally in the zone. He’s flinging paint, making a mess, but in a really controlled way, you know? The paint looks pretty thin, which lets it move and flow, creating this wild, energetic surface. Check out the way the colors overlap and blend, creating a sense of depth and movement. It reminds me of Pollock, but with a more vibrant, almost psychedelic edge. It feels like Armstrong is channeling something primal, tapping into the energy of the universe. All us painters, we are in a conversation, picking up on each other's ideas and pushing them further. Painting’s an embodied expression, and this one’s embracing ambiguity and uncertainty. There is so much to be found if you let yourself just look.
