Rune Jansson made *Dimmar Ljus* with gentle strokes in white, orange, and black. I'm imagining Jansson in his studio, perhaps with soft light filtering in, making marks with a kind of quiet concentration. The paint here is really thin, almost like watercolor. The way it stains the canvas feels intimate, like he's whispering something to us. That single horizontal orange line grounds the whole painting. It is so subtle but so strong. Maybe it represents the horizon line? And the wispy white marks dance above it. The whole thing reminds me a bit of Agnes Martin's work, that same sense of quietness and contemplation, but with a bit more messiness. It is like Jansson is inviting us to slow down, to breathe, and to find beauty in the simplest of gestures.
