Editor: Adja Yunkers' "Soliloquy" really strikes me with its mix of calm colors and chaotic shapes. There's a kind of interiority to it. How do you interpret this work? Curator: The title itself, "Soliloquy," directs us inward, toward the silent conversation of the self. Note the repeated motif of enclosure—within a room, perhaps, and within the embrace of the figure's own arms. What emotions do these symbolic boundaries evoke? Editor: Maybe loneliness, or a sense of self-reflection? Curator: Precisely. The layering of forms, the obscuring of details, all contribute to a sense of mystery. This print invites us to consider the weight of unspoken thoughts and feelings, and how they shape our perception of reality. Editor: That really gives me a new perspective. Thanks! Curator: My pleasure! Art is a mirror, reflecting back our own inner landscape.
