Editor: I'm not sure, it almost feels contradictory. Is she reclaiming the symbols associated with the fairy tale? Curator: Exactly! By placing it on denim, a fabric often associated with American labor and even counter-culture, Suarez seems to be suggesting a rewriting of Belle's narrative. She is taking control, maybe advocating for a more intersectional kind of feminism. What do you make of the dandelion behind the book? Editor: Maybe a connection to the natural world, as an element of resilience and hidden beauty that the character seems to possess. It feels like a conscious juxtaposition. Curator: It is about embracing multifaceted identity, understanding that women can be both "princess" and "rebel", challenging singular interpretations. Editor: That's fascinating!
