Editor: Here we have "Bust of a Man" by Barthholomäus Ignaz Weiss. It's a black and white print, and the detail is pretty incredible for what I imagine is a small piece. The subject seems so solemn and wise. What's your take on this work? Curator: Well, I see a man lost in thought, perhaps contemplating his legacy. The artist's lines create a sense of depth, wouldn't you agree? The hat seems a bit much, as though he is about to act in a play. It is a real window into another time. Editor: I do notice the hat now! Like he's playing dress up. I never would have thought of it that way. Curator: Right? It's like finding a hidden clue in an old book, and each viewing offers a fresh whisper from the past.
