Magnus S. Fossum made this Woven Coverlet, we don't know when, but look at how he sets up a kind of conversation through colour and design. It’s all about the process, isn’t it? The texture is key here; you can almost feel the weave, the way the different colours play off each other. See how the blue and red threads come together to form zig-zagging shapes. I love how the fringe adds a sense of movement and incompleteness. It’s like he’s saying, “Here’s what I’ve done, but it’s not the end.” It reminds me a bit of Anni Albers’ work, the way she also explored the possibilities of weaving as a form of art. Both artists show how art is not just about the final product, but about the journey, the conversation between the artist and the materials. It's a reminder that art is an ongoing dialogue, not a monologue.
