Editor: So, this is León Ferrari's "Entrance to the Military Headquarters + Military Decoration from the Third Reich." It's... jarring, to say the least. What do you make of it? Curator: It's Ferrari being Ferrari – provocative, uncomfortable, brilliant. The juxtaposition, that ornate, almost baroque entrance defaced with Nazi imagery… it’s a scream, isn't it? Editor: A scream? Curator: Yes, a primal scream against authority, against the seductive power of symbols. It feels like an accusation hurled across time, doesn't it? Editor: I see what you mean. It makes you think about how symbols can be twisted. Curator: Exactly. Now, what does it make *you* feel? Editor: Definitely uneasy, but also… challenged. Thanks!
