The ruffles on the sleeves almost dissolve into the background, creating this beautiful play of light and shadow. It reminds me of how certain details fade over time, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. The way Gittings has used light in this image is just gorgeous, like the work of Julia Margaret Cameron. It’s a reminder that art doesn't always have to be about sharp focus or perfect clarity.
