Valentine Green created this mezzotint, *Holy Family with John the Baptist and Elizabeth*, during the 18th century. The image depicts the Madonna holding Jesus, who is leaning towards a young John the Baptist, with Elizabeth looking on. Considered one of the best engravers of his time, Green was appointed engraver to King George III. His position gave him access to aristocratic circles and their collections of European paintings.
